My Review

#Gospel is revolutionary indeed! Taking the truth of the Gospel from Romans, Mr. Rice presents the truth in a completely contemporary way. This book was so easy to read and just flowed right off the page with stories that were culturally relevant and really enhanced understanding of how the Bible is still relevant today in its' original form. It made all the questions of the Gospel, how it changes our lives, and how we can share it with others so simple and clear. We so often complicate the Gospel to be more than it is- adding rules and beating the unsaved over the head about their sin. How can we expect people who don't know the Lord to behave in a way that pleases the Lord? What I really loved was the reminder that the transforming power of the Gospel is a daily thing- not a one time "get out of jail free" event. The Gospel should be changing our lives every day in a way that is obvious to others so that they see their need for Jesus. This book is also perfect for the person struggling to understand Christianity, or that even maybe is totally opposed to Christianity. It provides the answers to what a relationship with Christ looks like and how we can grow in it. It helps anyone to realize that having a relationship with Christ is not about keeping rules and judging those who don't, but is allowing God to purify you to be holy and be filled with the natural outpouring of His Holy Spirit in your life. Anyone wanting to renew their zeal for the Lord and His Commission to share His Gospel needs this book. It is a priceless resource not only for that person, but for the unsaved or the struggling.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing, and was under no obligation to post a review.
