My Review
Our author does it again! He takes totally poignant and relative topics for today's teen and gives Biblical principles and truth in a way that makes sense to teens, and enables parents/guardians, youth pastors, whoever, form some meaningful discussions out of it. He takes humor, truth, and realities of today, and shows how the Bible is not outdated or irrelevant, but how it is the guide for making decisions and living a life that is focused on God. The book is shorter, has discussion questions at the end of each chapter, and has shorter chapters that could easily be used in a discussion way as a group or a family. While some of these truths are just hard to talk about, our author makes them simple to the reader. While I am not a guy, I have worked with teen guys, and my husband is a high school teacher (and obviously was a teen guy), and I have to say this book is a priceless resource for the teen guy in your life even if he isn't typically a reader. Make sure to check out the author's other books for teens! Just to name a few I have had the privilege of reading- The Teen's Guide to Social Media & The Bullying Breakthrough (awesome for teens, teachers, pastors, and parents alike!)I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
